Electrical Engineering and Energy (eISSN: 3062-3979) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality research articles and review papers in all areas of electrical engineering, electronics, energy, and related interdisciplinary fields. Aims and Scope

The journal welcomes original contributions from researchers, engineers, and professionals worldwide, covering (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • Electric power systems, including transmission, distribution, smart grids, and microgrid technologies
  • Electrical machines and drives, modeling, control, diagnostics, and integration with power electronics
  • Power electronics, converters, inverters, and their applications in industrial and renewable systems

  • Microelectronics, analog/digital circuit design, VLSI, and semiconductor devices relevant to electrical and energy systems
  • Embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and data analytics in electrical and energy engineering applications
  • Industrial energy systems, process electrification, cogeneration (CHP), and waste heat recovery
  • Studies involving mechanical, thermal, nuclear, chemical, electromagnetic, magnetic, and electric energy forms

Open Access Policy

Electrical Engineering and Energy is a diamond open-access journal — all articles are freely available online to readers without any subscription or payment. The journal does not charge any article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees. We believe in free dissemination of knowledge to support global scientific development.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy, novelty, and relevance. Reviewers are selected based on expertise, and decisions are based solely on the scholarly merit of the content.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right to publish it under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This allows for maximum dissemination and reuse with appropriate citation.

Journal History

The journal was originally founded in 2020 under the title Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Policy and Energy Management (ISSN: 2717-9583). As of April 2025, it continues its publication under the new name Electrical Engineering and Energy, maintaining the same editorial and ethical standards. All previously published content remains accessible under the former ISSN (2717-9583).

Publication Frequency

The journal is published three times a year (April, August, and December).

Archiving and Preservation

The journal content is preserved through participation in the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archival systems, ensuring long-term digital preservation and access.

The names, email addresses, and other personal data provided to this journal will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Self-Archiving Policy 

ELENE Journal permits authors to archive and share various versions of their manuscripts in institutional or disciplinary repositories, personal websites, or academic social networks, in accordance with the journal’s open access policy.
